Writing

I write, edit and commission books. I work with language until it feels simple, clear and true. I am passionate about books that inspire change and support all life.

Extraordinary & Endangered

Extraordinary & Endangered profiles individual Australian species at risk, telling the story of each animal through photography and written entries about habitat, threats and conservation.

Each section opens with reflections from conservation experts – including Tim Faulkner on mammals – followed by species profiles that invite readers to slow down, look closely, and understand what’s at stake.

I developed the concept for the book and led the project from start to finish, coordinating contributors, securing funding, and editing the publication.

It’s a book about paying attention, and caring about what we choose to save.

The Littlest Witch Trilogy

The Littlest Witch is the first book in a middle-grade fantasy trilogy about triplet sisters Gwen, Nel and Rain, who discover on the eve of their thirteenth birthday that each of them carries a different kind of magic.

Set between the ordinary world and the hidden realm of Ethra, the trilogy explores sisterhood, friendship and belonging through humour, adventure and fantasy.

Book one, The Littlest Witch, is currently available on Kindle.

Book two, The Gatekeeper’s Daughter, is scheduled for release by the end of this year.

Book three, Return to Ethra, completes the trilogy.

I’m the author of the series and am in the process of taking back the rights.

This year, I’m planning to revisit and gently rewrite the first book in the trilogy.

Pip & Pete

Pip & Pete is a climate-change comic adventure following two curious Australian kids who journey to Antarctica with their rescue magpie, Mik.

Blending humour and adventure, the story follows Pip and Pete as they investigate an oil spill, evade hungry wildlife, help protect penguins, and begin to uncover the wider impacts of climate change.

Think Tintin meets Asterix & Obelix, with a distinctly Australian sensibility.

I wrote the story and developed the concept, working in collaboration with illustrator Damian Castellini.
